Viva Italia! - The Music of Renaissance Italy
Don't miss the opening concert of our 2015-16 Season, "The Grand Tour!" "Autumn in Italy - Viva Italia!" begins our Grand Tour with music from Italy's great castles, cathedrals and lively countryside performed by a sextet of our singers and featuring Missa Nasce la gioia mia for six voices by Giovanni Pierluigi Palestrina based on the madrigal by Giovan Leonardo Primavera of the same name; you'll also enjoy rarely-performed madrigals by Asola, Vecchi, Casulana, Aleotti, Croce, Striggio and Marenzio for three, four, five and six voices.
