AIAOC ADA Program Lake Forest Sports Park an ADA Walking Tour
Are you looking for a program to meet the California Architects Board ADA course requirement? AIAOC is offering you an opportunity to earn 1.5 qualifying units for license renewal.
Attendees will tour the recently completed, Lake Forest Sports Park. During this walking tour, attendees will learn about ADA applications as they impact the external environment, including the implication of ramps, seating, parking, and general ADA movement and use of a sports park.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will learn about the application of ADA on sports park settings Attendees will have a hands-on experience to see actual applications good and bad Attendees will discuss alternative methods for ADA design during the initial design phase Attendees will learn how to modify existing conditions to bring them to code compliance

Ms. Afshar is an AIA member architect with 30 years of experience in commercial and public facilities, with a focus on interior architecture and accessibility. She has been involved with Access related work since 1991. Ms. Afshar is also CID, LEED AP and CASp certified.
