BRIEF SYNOPSIS:
This presentation will provide brief overview of vision and mission of ERCOT and ERCOT's role in reliable operations of the electric grid. This will include an overview of real-time operations; integration of renewable energy sources and some additional, current initiatives.
SPEAKER'S BIOGRAPHY:
Sandip Sharma received his M.S.E.E in Electrical Engineering specializing in Power Systems from University of Texas at Arlington in 2006. He joined the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Inc. after graduation, and has been working in Grid Operations primarily focusing on Frequency Response, Renewable Integration, Ancillary Services and Resources Performances.
He is a member of NERC Frequency Response Working Group (FRWG) and was a member of NERC Frequency Response Standard Drafting Team (BAL-003) as well as the member of Texas Regional Entity (TRE) BAL-TRE-001 Standard drafting team. Currently he is working as Supervising Engineer within ERCOT Grid Operations.
