CITY LINK: http://city-link.org/event/city-link-festival-edinburgh-2015-neu-reekie/
This year City Link connects the professional, cultural and artistic communities of Edinburgh and Copenhagen with a festival across 4 days in Edinburgh from 24-27th September. City Link nurtures a network of people from Edinburgh and Copenhagen with ideas that could link cities, discuss local initiatives, inspire each other and investigate possibilities of co-creating cities across Europe. The Festival is initiated by GivRum, an urban life organisation, which works towards the promotion of democratic cities.

NAKED
are an experimental pop group who blend neon-lit programmed 808, minimalist guitar, glacial bass and distortion; filtered under hypnotizing and ephemeral vocals. The minimal elements here ebb and flow to produce moments of warm ASMR-inducing intimacy which build into heavy plates of drone and electronic processing. Their debut EP 'Youth Mode' was released earlier this year on LuckyMe Records to critical acclaim and the band have since been in New York working on their debut album. They also recently produced a track  Moshin In The Front, for rapper/performance artist Mykki Blanco's latest release 'Gay Dog Food'.  The band, now located in London, are previous Edinburgh residents and guests of Neu Reekie. See: http://www.nake.dk/

'A hypnotic mix of glassy beats and thick beautiful melodies, reminiscent of Bjork'
(NME)
'This Edinburgh Trio already feel addictive'
(The Fader)

THE HONOURABLE K.W. HARMAN
One of the country's most intriguing artists, Harman creates works that delights and provokes in equal measure. Harman's work frequently has an element of performance, even if the performance itself remains unseen until unveiled by the artwork. http://www.inglebygallery.com/artists/kevin-harman/
"Glass act: student fined for smashing gallery window and calling it art" (The Guardian)
"There has obviously been a profound level of misunderstanding of the raison d'ĂȘtre of Kevin's work"
(Richard Demarco)
"He's tidied up the coming thing"
(Davy Henderson / SOBs)

LISA ALMA
Is a singer, songwriter and producer. See: http://lisaalma.com

"This producer sticks out. Her downcast electronic soul has a pop edge but hidden depths, with the soft, lilting arrangements matched against her imposing, emotive voice. Lisa Alma's powerful songwriting seems to dwell on shadow, allusion."
- Clash Music (UK)
"one of the most exciting new artists around"
Record Rewind Play (UK)
"More a poet than a pop star"
(Seattle Times)

RODNEY RELAX
'Where there's poetry, anarchy and energy, Rodney Relax is to be found. He was one of the group of writers who were the dynamo for Rebel Inc in its early days. Then with Sandie Craigie and some others he generated a sporadic literary efflorescence, the Yellow Café, which always guarantees a night that will etch its way into your memory.Rodney, who has been called Edinburgh's punk poet legend, is not an easy man to box.' RAB CHOUDHRY
Rabiya Choudhry is an artist based in Leith, Edinburgh. Her work has been previously shown at the Edinburgh International Festival and various galleries nationally and internationally. Her paintings are visual exorcisms of family, religion, sexuality and cultural identity. She is thrilled to be performing at Neu! Reekie! for the first time.
