"(Don't Splash) Shelley Rae" (Vertebrae, Undone) at The One More Night Festival
This listing is for a performance of "Don't Splash (Shelley Rae)," Performing at The Box Toronto as part of The One More Night Festival
"DELIGHTFUL" - Bloody Underrated "CHARMING AND FUN" - In The Greenroom
Catch a rare glimpse of the infamous Shelley Rae! Discovered near shark-infested Cuban waters, this mermaid is like nothing you've ever seen before. Our experts have sheltered Shelley Rae from the public to better understand this cheeky aquatic-humanoid, and what they've discovered will shock and amazing you. Do you want to know how a mermaid speaks English? How mermaids reproduce? The conversation depends on you! But a word of caution, Shelley Rae has her own agenda and sadly, due to her covetous nature, barbaric language, and bestial appearance, children are not permitted. Shelley Rae may be a mermaid, but she is not your maid by any means.
(Don't Splash) Shelley Rae mixes the foundations of a TED Talk with the excitement of a Meet-and-Greet. Toss in a litre of interactive theatre and a drop of drag, and you're in for once in a lifetime experience pulled straight from a storybook more grim than Grimm.
This show was last performed during the 2013 Toronto Fringe Festival in a shed in the Fringe Club as part of the Fringe AlleyPlays.
