On The Spot's Academy of Improv Level 1:
ON THE SPOT'S ACADEMY OF IMPROV LEVEL 1
Hawaii's longest running improv group ON THE SPOT will host a series of ongoing Saturday morning improv workshops starting Saturday January 14 at the ARTS at Marks Garage from 10am -12pm. These classes are designed with the idea that everybody can improv. Learning improv builds confidence and charisma. It's fun and adventurous.
In Level 1 Improv students enrolled in the workshops will learn the fundamentals of improv and basic acting techniques in a hand's on workshop environment. Students will also be able to think quickly on their feet and be comfortable performing without a script. By the end of first class session students in the class will be able to perform a simple improvised comedy scene in front of people.
Included with this class is the enrollment into the LOUDER THAN WORDS WORKSHOP on Saturday February 11. also at the ARTS at Marks Garage at 10:00am - 12:00pm. This workshop is a one time specialty workshop in improvising with out dialog. Learn how to use your body and emoting to create powerful character and amazing stories with out uttering a single word.
