March Workshop: Legend In Our Own Minds
Presenter: Rebecca Hom
Explore weaving your life stories into the fabric of well-known myths, legends and fairytales to discover how our lives and our mythic journeys inform each other. We will use myth summaries, peer-sharing, guided imagery and full-body, sensory/creativity games to shake up our POV's and enrich our inner stories, asking: A thousand years from now, how would this story stand as a myth? From earnest to absurd, truth-filled to bald-faced lies, we'll delve into the sensory components of our inner stories, from the commonly considered five senses of touch, taste, hear, smell, see, to the crucial sixth 'story' sense of emotional content. A post-workshop, one-hour coaching session included for participants that want to continue the story.
