True Manliness - RHINOFEST 2012

The Ray's Tap Reading series is going to be dissecting a book (chapter by chapter by each writer) published in 1897 by The National Purity Association called True Manliness: A Pocket Companion for Boys and Young Men.

The Ray's Tap Reading Series was an underground show that occurred at the now closed Ray's Tap in Avondale from 2007 to 2011. The show was dedicated to the idea that readings don't have to be really damn tired and boring. Ray's is about making new work and exploring and exploiting old texts and odd and provocative themes. Past shows include: Imaginary Birds, The History of Kimball Avenue (and why we don't drive on Homan), and The Large Hairless Cock in the Garden of Eden.
