Leslie Tung, Professor Emeritus of Music at Kalamazoo College in Michigan, will perform on his own instrument, a five-octave Viennese fortepiano completed in 1983 by Janine and Paul Poletti, based on the ca. 1795 instrument of Munich builder Johan Lodewijk Dulcken, currently in the collection of the Smithsonian Institute. His program includes Mozart's Ten Variations on "Unser dummer Pöbel meant," Beethoven's Eroica Variations and the famous "Moonlight" Sonata.
