The Fourth Wall
The Place: A Suburban Living Room The People: Peggy, Roger, Julia, and Floyd
"The Fourth Wall" takes place in the suburban home of an upper middle class couple, Peggy and Roger. Something extraordinary happens when Peggy decides to rearrange the living room so that there is a blank fourth wall, just as there is in live theater (the title for this off-beat comedy production comes from a theater term in which the "fourth wall" is the imaginary blank wall between the actors and the audience). When she does this, she both baffles and alarms her husband, and creates an atmosphere in which unexpected things begin to occur in their home.
The play will run Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. from Jan. 27-Feb. 11. Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. are scheduled for Jan. 29, Feb. 5 & 12. The play is written by A.R. Gurney and is being directed by Steve Stolee.
Please note that this play contains some strong language and adult situations and is not suitable for children.
