Taste of Andersonville 2007
The Andersonville Chamber of Commerce presents its fifth annual Taste of Andersonville on Friday, November 2, 2007, from 6:30 - 10:00 pm at the Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark Street.
The Taste of Andersonville is a giant international buffet with the best dishes from over thirty Andersonville restaurants, plus a swingin dance floor, and an extensive silent auction with great deals on goods and services from all over the city.
The Taste of Andersonville celebrates the unique spirit and history of Andersonville, which is evident in the variety of cuisine choices in the neighborhood. Many different groups have settled in the community since the Swedes first founded it as Andersonville in 1855. Those groups influence can still be found in the diversity of eateries and taverns that line Clark Street. The Swedish, Middle Eastern, Italian, Asian, Hispanic, and gay-and lesbian-themed establishments are lasting reminders of the array of peoples who once or currently call Andersonville home.
Taste of Andersonville Dinner Dance tickets are $40, or $35 for Chamber members.
