Featuring;
Twin Ghost (http://www.twinghost.com/) Born in The City Of Brotherly Love, this burgeoning songwriter spent his formative years playing everything from punk and progressive rock to reggae, funk and soul, all the while holding dear his childhood influences; great singers and songwriters like Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Neil Young, James Taylor, Gil Scot Heron and Marvin Gaye among others; shaping his style, while producing copious amounts of original material, and developing his own unique voice. The emergent style is a distillation of rootsy soulful rock with pop brilliance, embodied in the artist of today: Twin Ghost.
McKinley Short (http://www.facebook.com/McKinleyMusic) McKinley Short is a young singer songwriter making her debut in the local music scene. She began singing at an early age in school choirs and has developed a fresh distinctive voice. Less than a year ago, she played her first open mic and has since played at the World Cafe Live at the Queen's Stagemakers Showcase, the Bellefonte Cafe and numerous benefit concerts. Her innocent voice and lyrics will captivate you. McKinley draws her sweet sound from a number of influences including Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, Coldplay, and John Mayer. She is currently 16 but turns 17 two days before the event!
Todd Chappelle (http://www.toddchappelle.com/) Todd Chappelle is a singer/songwriter whose material can best be described as "acoustic comedy". His material has been compared to that of other nationally known musical comedians such as Stephen Lynch, Rodney Carrington and Adam Sandler. Todd has recently received some notoriety for the song "I'm From Delaware", a parody of the Geoff Mack composition "I've Been Everywhere". I'M FROM DELAWARE was voted the Delaware Valley's 2007 SONG OF THE YEAR by the listeners of 93.7 WSTW in Wilmington, DE. The CD "I'M FROM DELAWARE" also won an award for the best local comedy CD of 2007.Todd's new CD "MODERATELY FUNNY SONGS" has also won an award from WSTW for the best local comedy CD of 2009!
Beth Goldwater (http://www.reverbnation.com/bethgoldwater) Beth started songwriting during her stint as a landscaper after singing every song she'd ever heard and realized it was only 2 in the afternoon. She joined an original band where she opened for acts as diverse as the Black Crowes, where she learned the amount of smoke one tour bus can hold, and Cinderella which proved you can never have too many neck scarves. She also sang in a few cover bands that played in the tri-state area before taking a break to start a family. Recently Beth picked up guitar and got back to songwriting, and is truly honored to be out on the scene again, not just because she gets a night free of the kids, who of course, she loves very much... most of the time ;) She is currently recording an album due out in early 2012.
Brooks Long (http://www.reverbnation.com/brookslong) Brooks Long didn't grow up on the rough streets of Baltimore, but did grow up in a house on the rough streets of Baltimore. "Like a lot of kids, I wasn't involved in anything, but I saw enough. It got me thinking deep thoughts pretty early." Attracted to a wide range of music from an early age and spending much of his youth in various gospel choirs, including one that found him on stage backing up Shania Twain, he grew to become a singer/songwriter, guitarist, poet, and voracious classic R&B/Rock & Roll nerd. As a solo act, Brooks has opened for established indie artists such as Elizabeth and The Catapult, 2-time Grammy Nominee Karter Jaymes and Kentavius Jones.
Jessica Latshaw (http://www.reverbnation.com/thepaperjanes) Jessica Latshaw is one half of The Paper Janes. Jessica is a dancer who loves music or maybe a musician who loves dancing, she hasn't quite figured it out yet. The Paper Janes create a mix of musical styles that is unique and wonderful. Shane Palko, her partner, also performs solo from time to time. He and Jessica create very different music in their solo acts that gives an insight to the listener of how The Paper Janes create such interesting and beautiful music.
