I WANT MY NAME BACK-SPECIAL EVENT
Join us for this special screening of the acclaimed new documentary film "I Want My Name Back" which tells the fascinating story of hip hop's original break-through artists, The Sugarhill Gang. This captivating and sometimes shocking in depth look at the behind the scenes world of music will be screened in the Paramount Theatre as part of the 10th Anniversary of NJ's own Garden State Film Festival. With the megahit "Rapper's Delight", the film's subjects Wonder Mike and Master Gee became worldwide stars then lost everything including their stage names and band name. The film follows their odyssey to reclaim their identities and legacy in music history. Following the screening of this controversial documentary and included in the ticket price, will be by a special LIVE concert event, featuring the renamed band "Rapper's Delight Featuring Wonder Mike and Master Gee" with special guests to join them live, including Vinnie from Naughty By Nature, The Kangol Kid from "UFTO" and up and coming breakthrough artists and Asbury natives, The Obvious.
