Story Club Minneapolis (9-24)
This month, Story Club is featuring spoken word artists Amy Salloway and Ward Rubrecht, and memoirist Bernice Koehler Johnson. As always, there will be three open mic slots open for anyone who wants to share a story, whether this is your first telling event or you're a professional. Salloway is the creator of three autobiographical solo plays "Does This Monologue Make Me Look Fat?," "So Kiss Me Already, Herschel Gertz!," and "Circumference" as has contributed stories to MPR. Rubrecht is the 2011, 2012 and 2013 SlamMN! Story Slam champion. Koehler is an educator and author and is working on a family memoir about her youth on a farm in northern Minnesota.
