Empowering Fearless Birth- Connecting with Women in Impoverished Nations

7:30 Film premiere of Marcia's birth

We hope this will be our first event connecting our community to those in Marcia's hometown of Monrovia, Liberia. Marcia is a nurse midwife and her family operates a clinic that serves many members of her community. She will be speaking on midwifery and mother/baby care in Liberia as well as cultural, financial and educational issues and goals for her community with regards to women's care and childbirth. If you've heard Marcia speak before, you know we're in for a FANTASTIC treat! Also, Marcia recently gave birth here in Utah, and we have the opportunity to celebrate her birth film premiere with her!

Our event will also include some fundraising items. Our goal is to send Marcia home with our gift of at least $2500 to help her community and to start our relationship with them.

ITEMS WANTED for auction! If you have art or other items that you are willing to donate for our sale to benefit Marcia's community, please contact us! 100% of donations will go to support Marcia's community and we will highlight you as well!

VENDORS WANTED! Vendor preference for those selling items directly benefiting women in developing nations.

SPONSORS WANTED! We'll highlight you at the beginning of the program as well as on the website and here in the event group.

Tickets are $60/person or $100/couple. Seating is limited to 30 guests.

Because of the nature of this event, please do not bring children. Very young nursing babies are welcome, but if possible, please leave babies with sitters.
