Dancers' Studio West (DSW) proudly presents The 34th Annual Alberta Dance Festival: The Fate of Dance, Thursday, September 10 through Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the Victor Mitchell, Pumphouse Theatre.
The 34th Annual Alberta Dance Festival (AADF) turns to chance for this year's inspiration. Under the artistic direction of Davida Monk, this year's program invites choreographers to embrace how chance limitations can bring freedom and inspiration to the creation of new works. The Fate of Dance focuses on chance operations and strategies at all levels of the experience, from the beginnings of the creative process, to final choreographic refinements, to productions values as well as those that address the audience experience. Through chance operations choreographers were charged with making works that include a specific use of structure, spatial, temporal, sound and lighting design.
This year's festival features works by 13 Alberta contemporary dance choreographers in two distinct programs over two weeks of performance.

Tony Tran, Deanna Witwer.
Week 2 Sept 17, 18, 19: Nicole Charlton, Rodney Diverlus, Jason Owin Galeos, Oriana Pagnotta,
Zahra Shahab, Rosanna Terracciano, Chantal Wall.
