OCA is proud to present Colleen Raney, "An Extraordinary Voice in the Irish Tradition". Based in Portland, Oregon this young and gifted traditional singer is touring California with her trio to present an evening of dynamic contemporary and traditional Irish and Scottish music. She has recently released her fourth album entitled Here This is Home, recorded in Dublin Ireland in 2013. Her rich and expressive voice breathes new life into the old tunes that she grew up hearing as a part of Seattle's celebrated Raney family, steeped in step-dance and song. Surrounding herself with the best musicians (Hanz Araki, Johnny B. Connolly, Magical Strings and many more ) and touring extensively , Colleen has staked her claim as a serious presence in Celtic music today.
