The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) workshop is an fascinating opportunity to explore your personal style and preferences and use that information to improve relationships, maximize opportunities for learning and growth and realize potential. According to the Myers-Briggs Foundation, the essence of the theory behind the MBTI is that "seemingly random variation in the behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment." The MBTI is a valid and reliable scientific instrument that has been used for over 40 years as a method to assess personality types, and an extremely useful guide to understanding; Your learning style and your approach to teaching others or parenting; Differences in relationships with friends, partners, and children; How personality type can help you work better with others and manage your own work; help you better recognize various stages of personal growth and development and offers you tools to navigate each one.
Consider: In a large group, do you more often introduce others, or get introduced? Overall, when working on an assignment, do you tend to figure out what needs to be done as you go along, or begin by breaking it down into steps? When making a decision, is it more important to you to weigh the facts, or consider people's feelings and opinions? If you are working on a project that is due in a week, do you take time to list the separate things to be done and the order of doing them, or plunge in?
