Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Workshop
Facilitator: Laura Grossman,
ACSW, LCSW-R, CASAC, Certified MBTI practitioner
"Whatever the circumstances of your life,
the understanding of type can make your perceptions clearer, your judgments sounder, and your life closer to your heart's desire."  Isabel Briggs Myers

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) workshop is an fascinating opportunity to explore your personal style and preferences and use that information to improve relationships, maximize opportunities for learning and growth and realize potential. According to the Myers-Briggs Foundation, the essence of the theory behind the MBTI is that "seemingly random variation in the behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment."
    The MBTI is a valid and reliable scientific instrument that has been used for over 40 years as a method to assess personality types, and an extremely useful guide to understanding;
Your learning style and your approach to teaching others or parenting;
Differences in relationships with friends, partners, and children;
How personality type can help you work better with others and manage your own work;
help you better recognize various stages of personal growth and development and offers you tools to navigate each one.

Consider:
In a large group, do you more often introduce others, or get introduced?
Overall, when working on an assignment, do you tend to figure out what needs to be done as you go along, or begin by breaking it down into steps?
When making a decision, is it more important to you to weigh the facts, or consider people's feelings and opinions?
If you are working on a project that is due in a week, do you take time to list the separate things to be done and the order of doing them, or plunge in?

Your responses to the above questions are important indicators about your communication style, your approach to tasks and the way you make decisions and solve problems. This dynamic and energizing workshop provides:

An opportunity to learn about the unique gifts you bring to your life at home and work
Insights that unravel puzzling interactions
Knowledge about how to best foster cooperation and appreciation in your personal and professional relationships.
