CAA Walkthrough of "Naked Hollywood: Weegee in Los Angeles"
Join exhibition curator Richard Meyer and assistant curator Jason Goldman for a walkthrough of "Naked Hollywood: Weegee in Los Angeles" on view at MOCA, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles through February 27, 2012. This first museum exhibition devoted to the work Weegee produced in Southern California features roughly 200 photographs, many of which have never before been shown or reproduced, and encompasses Weegee's related work as an author, filmmaker, photo-essayist, and genius self-promoter.
Transportation from the Los Angeles Convention Center to MOCA is fairly easy by DASH bus, Metro Silver Line, or Metro Rail. Consult www.ladottransit.com/dash or www.metro.net to plan your trip. The museum is within walking distance from both the Biltmore and Bonaventure hotels.
Please note that the museum is closed at the time of this walkthrough; only the "Naked Hollywood: Weegee in Los Angeles" galleries will be accessible. Attendees are subject to museum rules, including the use of pencils and not pens in the galleries for note taking.
