Downtown Independent's Official Selection series presents: CAITLIN PLAYS HERSELF
Downtown Independent's home-grown series is back with a very special December program!
We are thrilled to be partnering up with indie stalwart Joe Swanberg and presenting pretty much a World Premiere of one of his latest films (Okay so its played in Poland). In his typical uber productive mode, he will be shooting some footage at the party following the screening. So please come check out the latest Joe Swanberg film, stay for the party and be that wierdo in the background in his next film!
Preceding the feature film we will screen some new eps of the doc web series AMERICAN NOBODIES by Rodrigo Ojeda-Beck and Robert Machoian
CAITLIN PLAYS HERSELF:
LOGLINE: When Caitlin, an uncompromising artist who creates both personal and political work, performs nude in her show about the BP oil spill, it sends her relationship with her on and off again boyfriend into a tailspin. As she directs her energy toward sustainable living and a series of dates with other guys, she realizes the difficulty of trying to save the world when you can't even make sense of your own life.
