Children learn an amazing amount in their first few years of life. But they can't do this on their own much of what they learn is through listening, observing, and interacting with others.
Jane Hu will discuss recent science about who children trust and learn from, and what this means about the importance of early relationships. Participants will learn about how daily interactions can teach young children (0-5).
Jane Hu is an Outreach Specialist at the University of Washington's Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences (I-LABS). Before joining the I-LABS outreach team, Jane earned a B.A. in psychology at Yale University and a Ph.D. in developmental psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied preschoolers' social learning.
