Love's Old Sweet Song
In Love's Old Sweet Song, actress and soprano Janet Lynch portrays both the public and private personae of Molly Bloom, concert singer and wife of protagonist Leopold Bloom from James Joyce's novel Ulysses. During the first part of the show, renowned pianist Joyce Moulton accompanies, as Molly performs a brief recital program of works on the theme of love by Mozart, Bizet, Puccini and others. In between songs, Molly will guide the audience through that most bewildering of human passions, offering her unique, down-to-earth perspective. Later, we get a more intimate view of Molly's thoughts about love, music and life through the words of James Joyce. Filled with music, pathos and humor, there's plenty for everyone to love in Love's Old Sweet Song.
