Thirst Fursday Beer School - September 3 2015 - Barrel Aged Beers
Join us every first Thursday of the month for our Thirst Fursday Beer School, where we delve deep into a beer category or topic, invite an expert to hang out with us, and learn a lot while we drink a bit.
September 3, 2015 - Barrel aged beers featuring Stone Brewing Co.
Tapping the following kegs at 11am:
-Points Unknown-Red wine/Tequila Barrel
-HiFi-LoFi Mixtape-Oak Foudres
-Bourbon Barrel Aged Arrogant Bastard-Bourbon Barrel
-Cali-Belgique Aged in Red Wine Barrel-Red Wine Barrel
-Barrel Aged Brown Ale w/Sour Balaton Cherries-Wine Barrel
Barrel aged beers utilize used barrels used previously for wine, bourbon, rum or other spirits. Sometimes they add oaky, vanilla notes to the beer, sometimes they add boozy, whisky based compounds, and sometimes they add wild yeast and souring bacteria, taking the beer in a whole new direction.
$25 cost includes tax, tip, heavy appetizers & 5x four oz beer samples.
