Answer: |
You can purchase USARS membership at their website: http://usarollersports.org/resources/forms. You can purchase event coverage online, as well. That link will be available when USARS releases it, and will be posted here: http://www.rollercon.net/about/usars/. You can check your USARS coverage here: http://usarollersports.org/resources/member-lists |

Question: |
how much are vendor tickets? |
Answer: |
Sponsor information will be available in early Spring of 2012. Potential sponsors are invited to join our notification list for up to date information and immediate notification here: http://www.rollercon.net/about/sponsors/. Sponsor passes are otherwise the same as regular convention attendee passes, however, and most standard vendor packages include at least one pass. |

Question: |
Hi Pam, I want to know if the MVP tickets are transferable. In case something happens and I cannot go, I'd like to know that I can sell my ticket to someone who really wants to go. |
Answer: |
Thank you for contacting Brown Paper Tickets. Unfortunately this event has a strict no refund policy, because badges are matched to validated insurance and contact information. We are unable to make any changes in the order or issue any refunds. In case of emergency, your pass can be deferred to next year. Please contact the event planners at info@rollercon.com to request a ticket deferral. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at any time>> Jocelyn Arias> Brown Paper Tickets> www.brownpapertickets.com> Jocelyn@brownpapertickets.com> 1 (800) 838 3006 Ext. 7105 |

Question: |
what is you are an official. A skating ref. What kind of tix should I get? |
Answer: |
If you're skating, you should get a Skater or MVP pass. Spectator passes do not allow for any skating at all. |
|
Question: |
i'm a wftda member. will this substitute for usars for your event? |
Answer: |
Yes. More information about insurance is here: http://www.rollercon.net/about/usars/ |
|
Question: |
I am purchasing MVP passes for several friends of mine - but I do not have access to their USARS numbers - can I still purchase them and then give number at a later date or??? |
Answer: |
Yes, however, they will have to validate their USARS when they arrive, which (depending on when you get there) can mean a longer wait at Registration. |
|
Question: |
I'm an NSO. Which ticket do I purchase? Skater or Spectator |
Answer: |
If you plan to be on skates at all, you will want a Skater Pass. We have open skates and lots of other events that you might enjoy. But if you have no intention of skating at all, a Spec pass should be just fine. Thanks! |
|
Question: |
USARS hasn't gotten back to me with my insurance number yet but I need to purchase my Rollercon Skater pass. Do I use my insurance number from last year or should I leave it blank? Will it matter what I write here or what I can show at Rollercon in July?
Help me! Help me, help me, help me!!
Thanks!
-Diana Davis- |
Answer: |
Yes, if you're renewing an existing USARS membership, your number is probably going to be the same. Please do use that number. Thanks! |
|
Question: |
I have a skater who is trying to get an earlybird pass but we are still waiting for her WFTDA insurance number. it was sent in weeks ago. Is there any way she can purchase her pass now with a pending number?
The Princess (Dallas Derby Devils)
frogkisses21@yahoo.com |
Answer: |
Yes, you can purchase the pass now and verify her WFTDA insurance later. |
|
Question: |
I am a semi retired skater. Since I am not affiliated with a league can I attend and skate at Rollercon 2012? |
Answer: |
Yes, of course you can! As long as you meet the skill and insurance requirements and you hold a MVP or Skater pass, we would love to have you skate at RollerCon! |
|
Question: |
Hey Pam, I'm a non skating Coach of 5 years... If I want to attend the on skates clinics, do I need to purchase a skater pass?! |
Answer: |
The on-skates clinics are open to MVP passholders only. Unfortunately, MVP passes have been sold out since Spring. We offer a limited amount so that the clinic attendees get the most out of the sessions. But if they were still available, that is the pass you'd need to be able to attend the on-skates clinics. |
|
Question: |
does the spectator pass allow you into vendor village? |
Answer: |
Yes. |
|
Question: |
Aloha Pam,
Since purchasing my MVP pass I have changed my Derby name. Can I switch my pass before the event, in order to try and avoid the lines at registration? |
Answer: |
If your pass has arrived, you will have to mail it to BPT and pay for a reprint to have it before the convention, unfortunately. That can also be done at Registration. But as long as your *real name* hasn't changed, you can use the wrong-skate-name pass while you wait for the lines to die down. Thursday is usually not too bad! |
|
Question: |
i've signed up to be a volunteer this year (my first!!). do i get a spectator ticket? |
Answer: |
Thanks for signing up! Volunteer compensation is detailed here: http://rollercon.com/help-wanted/. But the short answer is, most likely not, unless you are completing the work during the planning phases. |
|
Question: |
I'm semi-retired but can't imagine missing rollercon cuz it rocks, do I need a skater pass to do off-skates training, or can I do that with a spectator pass. I'm not able to skate right now, but am interested in doing group fitness off skates. Thanks. |
Answer: |
Hey, there! Spec passes are meant solely for Spectating, honestly. But there is a pretty great off-skates program, so its probably worth it to pick up a skating pass so you can participate in the off-skates and the open skate sessions, which are not competitive. |
|
Question: |
I am a new green horn ref in training and trying to find out to sign up to practice reffing at scrimmages.
Thanks

Answer: |
Hi, BoxxieLady, check out http://rollercon.com/about/officiating-rollercon/ for more info about how to get involved. Thanks! |
|
Question: |
Can we purchase spectator passes at rollercon? |
Answer: |
We are capping all ticket sales at 6,000. If we haven't reached the cap, tickets will still be available at RollerCon. We're close, but it looks likely that you will still be able to buy Spec and Skater passes at the event, unless there is a mad last minute rush for tickets. :) Thanks for asking. |
|
Question: |
Is there a way to change my derby name and number before passes are sent out? |
Answer: |
Yes, you can change badge and/or shipping info *before* the badges ship by emailing support@brownpapertickets.com and asking for Sten or Katrina. If you need to change your info after the badge ships, you can do it at RollerCon, but be ready to wait in line, and there is a badge reprint fee. |
