Stockings

As 2011 nears to a close, Santa Cruz Dance is excited to present a Holiday Cabaret to celebrate the close of the inaugural season at the exciting new Dance Mecca, "Motion at the Mill". Stockings will bring together some of the areas favorite dancers, musicians and other creatures of debauchery for a fun, sexy evening of inspired titillation.

This December 9 and 10, Motion at the Mill will transform to a timeless cabaret showcasing dance, music, and theater for adults including performances by resident company, Flex, Nocturnal Sunshine Fire Troupe, Bay-Area Based Burlesque dancer, Balla Fire, UCSC Random w/ a purpose and aerialists TT Robson and Abra Allan of the Gravity Girls. With a live score performed by local musician Wireless Lovebird and warm and decadent drinks created by David Jackman of Chocolate restaurant, Stockings will provide a perfectly complete sensory experience to put even old Scrooge in the holiday spirit.
The performance benefits Motion at the Mill, an intentionally designed facility housing, favorite long time dance School, Motion Pacific and non-profit presenting organization, Santa Cruz Dance to create a dance education and performance center in Downtown Santa Cruz on lower Front Street.

As part of the event, we will hold a raffle featuring three holiday stockings hand made by choreographer Cid Pearlman. Each stocking will be stuffed to the brim with the best of Santa Cruz, including free classes and tickets for performances.
