Some Rolling Stones fans may have long forgotten Mick Taylor, the guitarist who was asked to join the band in 1969, shortly before Brian Jones died. Taylor left the band in 1975 to be replaced by Ron Wood. However, Taylor's tenure with the band also marked the group's live zenith (captured on the 1970 live album Get Yer Ya-Yas Out!). In addition, two of the studio albums he was part of as a full-fledged member of the group, Sticky Fingers and Exile On Main Street, are among the best albums the group ever recorded. Taylor joined the group at the age of 19, after leaving England's seminal blues band John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, a band he joined at the age of 17, replacing the departed Peter Green. Clips from the Mick Taylor years will include many intimate performances from London's famed Marquee club in 1971 that have never been commercially released, as well as extensive footage from unreleased live Canadian performances from the group's infamous 1972 tour. There will also be rare studio performances, a long-lost television commercial, promotional clips, rehearsal footage, interviews, outtakes from Rolin Binzer's Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones and Robert Frank's banned Stones film, and a surprise finale with a very special guest. Other clips include music from the free live memorial concert at Hyde Park in England for Brian Jones, which was Taylor's live debut with the group. The second Rock Legends Live! Rolling Stones night will far surpass the long talked about Brian Jones night and should not be missed.
