A young woman settles in for her first evening as caretaker of ominous Morris-Jumel Mansion, Manhattan's oldest house. She expects a quiet night; it proves to be anything but...
In AWAKENING IN INK, a new site-specific play written and directed by Vincent Carbone, audience members accompany the caretaker as she steps from room to room, attempting to discover what lurks in the dark. Her findings will shock her...and you!
Morris-Jumel's first commissioned play, inspired by letters and ghost stories stored in MJM's archives, AWAKENING IN INK opens Thursday, October 15th, and runs till November 7th. Tickets are $40, $30 for students and members. Tickets to a special Halloween performance, which includes a post-play paranormal investigation of Morris-Jumel Mansion, cost $80.
