Stop & Go: Made From Scratch
Stop & Go: Made From Scratch offers a delicious suite of animations of a variety of impressions on crafting, horticulture and food. In some animations artists literally play with their food, while in other works they employ a wide range of materials to create a desired effect. Altogether this screening is more than just a feast for your eyes. It also presents images, sounds and sensations that will both nourish and delight you.
For this screening Stop & Go is very excited to partner with Kelsie Kerr of Standard Fare. Kerr is an acclaimed chef who, over the past three decades, has contributed to the success of several well-loved Bay Area restaurants including Chez Panisse and Zuni Café. In 2014, Kerr launched her own establishment Standard Fare which specializes in seasonal and sustainable menus packaged to-go in innovative and re-usable ceramic wares. Known for her use of fresh produce and dairy from local sustainable sources, Kerr and her team will offer up inspired tastings to complement the courses of animation.
Stop & Go features a broad range of emerging work in the field of stop-motion animation. Artists whose works are in this program include Emily Alden Foster, William Cashion & Elena Johnston, Hugo de Kok & Kay van Vree, Benjamin Ducroz, Eric Dyer, Sandra Eber, Andy Ellison, Alice Evans, David Green, Elizabeth Hobbs, Andrew Kelleher, Katarzyna Kijek & Przemyslaw Adamski, Sarah Klein & David Kwan, Katie Lenton, Jennifer Levonian, Jillian McDonald, Peter Millard, Rob Munday, Johan Rijpma, Jacob Rivkin, Albert Roskam and Caleb Wood.
