Friday 8/20 THE DWIGHT RITCHER ORGAN TRIO with special guest KAT WRIGHT $10 advance / $15 at the door 8:30 doors / 9:30 show www.dwightritcherband.com http://www.katwrightsoulband.com
Tickets here for NIGHT ONE ONLY of the three night stay with Dwight Ritcher Trio! Soul Singer. Guitar Slinger. Dwight Ritcher is most well known as one half of the Boston supergroup Dwight & Nicole, with NBC's "The Voice," star Nicole Nelson. This Thursday and Friday night he joins forces with hammond organist Jeremy Parker and drummer Benny Benson for a two night throw down of new orleans funk, memphis blues, and deep soul originals not to miss. Then on Saturday it's MERCURY MINE featuring Dwight and Nicole.
KAT WRIGHT: It all starts with the voice of Kat Wright, which proves immediately enchanting to any listener. It's delicate yet powerful; gritty yet highly emotive; sultry and dynamic. It promises and delivers a connection with something outside of yourself. Her style shares a timeless quality with some of history's greatest singers (think young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse), while remaining something authentic you haven't heard ever before. These days, as we cycle through scores of new groups looking for a little of that old school magic we're constantly confronted with watered down throwback acts and impersonators of genuine soul. Kat Wright's powerhouse vocals diagnose this modern day ailment and heal it on the spot. MORE ON THE DWIGHT RICHTER ORGAN TRIO Ritcher, Parker and Benson met fifteen years ago at the original House of Blues in Boston. Parker was the house organist. Benson was passing though on a tour. The three found that they had an undeniable energy performing together. "Jeremy and Benny are like family to me. They both have such passion and drive for music- these are going to be two special nights- a real family reunion!" Exclaimed Dwight. Dwight Ritcher has been nominated for multiple Boston Music Awards and has shared the stage with many luminaries including Dr. John, Maceo Parker, Robert Randolph, Otis Rush, Chuck Berry, Dave Brubeck, and Norah Jones. His music has appeared on ABC, A&E, and Lifetime television. He appeared as himself in the documentry "Where's the Music At."
