Mr. Sun
Mr. Sun - Exceptional among modern fiddlers for his versatility and depth, Darol Anger has helped drive the evolution of the contemporary string band through his involvement with numerous path-breaking ensembles such as his Republic Of Strings, the Turtle Island String Quartet, the David Grisman Quintet, Montreux, the Duo and other ensembles. He has recorded and produced scores of important recordings since 1977, is a MacDowell and UCross Fellow, and has received numerous composers' residencies and grants. He is a featured soloist on dozens of recordings and motion picture soundtracks.

Recognized as one of the foremost contemporary mandolinists, Joe Walsh has also won acclaim and affection for his vocals and his talents on a number of other instruments, including guitar and octave mandolin. With two solo albums to his credit, he also toured internationally with the award-winning bluegrass supergroup The Gibson Brothers, and was recently named Managing Director of the American Roots Music Program at the Berklee College of Music.

Being asked to assume the guitarists' role in the fabled David Grisman Quintet, a spot previously held by such guitar notables as Tony Rice, Mark O'Connor, Frank Vignola and Mike Marshall, has firmly established Grant Gordy as one of the preeminent young voices on guitar. Just ask his boss, David Grisman, who says Gordy "belongs to the new elite of American acoustic practitioners who are pushing the ever-expanding envelope of a musical frontier."

With feet in the folk, classical, groove, and jazz worlds, double bassist Ethan Jodziewicz thrives in performances and collaborations that combine traditional with contemporary, technical virtuosity with simplicity and passion, seeking to inspire audiences with music that is fresh, exciting, and without boundaries.

Currently living in Ithaca, NY Ethan keeps busy as a studio musician, accompanist, private teacher, and student.  He is a member of the progressive chamber-folk ensemble Rockwood Ferry and The Evil City String Band, and frequently performs with the Andrew & Noah VanNorstrand Band.
