8th Annual December Gala
L.A.S. Therapy Network and Development Group, Inc., Non-Profit Organization, "Laughter is the Best Medicine" Health and Arts Program, celebrates the 8th Annual December Gala at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel, 2025 Rosa L. Parks Blvd, Nashville, TN 37228, on December 28, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Come dressed in formal attire, bring your family & friends, then enjoy our catered reception featuring the Cremona Strings Ensemble Too, dance to the rhythms Stanley Patterson, participate in health screenings, visit our visual arts exhibit, and more in specifically designed theaters, education halls, and/or vendors areas for children and adults. This event is free and open to the public. A recommended $10.00 tax exempt donation is accepted at the event to support the activities. All children are admitted free.
Our activities include, but are not limited to the following: Children's Theater: Shrine Circus Clowns featuring 'Mater Juice'; Cama Boys Choir; TSU Cultural Arts and Music Academy activities; Historian Jerome Logan's artifacts and story-time; Malone Dance Studio Academy performances; gift raffle; and more.
Visual Arts Exhibit: Artists Michael McBride, Claudyne Jefferson, Ross Jordan, Jonathan Lewis, Sandy Spain, Joseph Love, and Donna Hampton Lewis display their unique paintings, sketches, and other creations while educating guests who appreciate their exhibits. Dana Grayson provides photographic excellence to our event.
Adults' Theater: Presenting 88.1FM Fisk University Radio General Manager and Talk Show Host Sharon Kay; NewsChannel5 Celebrities Lelan A. Statom and Tuwanda Coleman; NashvilleStandUp.com Comedians Leslie Nash, Jimmie Fitzgerald, and John Bowman; Black Sax and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen; Augie's Side Effect; Hype Dat Track performing artists; other performing artists; and gift raffle with silent auction.
