Making News in Hollywood: Getting Media Exposure in the LA Market
Think about where you get your news. Not where you first hear about something, but how you verify it to be true. Sure, social media is where you might hear about something, but traditional media outlets -- print, radio, and TV -- are still the definitive sources to qualify something as true.
Join the Stratiscope & Infinite Communications on August 26th from 10am to 12noon to meet producers, editors, and reporters to help you understand how to make your story catch their attention, what the process is for pitching stories, and how to leverage work you're already doing and get the media exposure you deserve. This training session will help you understand the process in a digital era and the "dos and don'ts" for working with news outlets. (Space is limited, and the small fee covers the facility use.)
Confirmed Speakers include: Kerry Brace, Executive Producer of the KTLA Morning News Nita Lelyveld, CityBeat Reporter from the LA Times James Rufus Koren, Managing Editor of the LA Business Journal
The event will be held at the Hollywood YMCA at 1553 Schrader. Validated parking is available is in the lot at 1526 Cassil Place (North of Sunset Blvd between Schrader and Las Palmas). Walk East through parking lot to entrance of the Hollywood YMCA at 1553 Schrader.
