Divine is a benefit show for The ARTS at Marks Garage and Cherry Blossom Cabaret's Spring 2011 theatrical show VarieTease.

About Cherry Blossom Cabaret: www.cherryblossomcabaret.com Cherry Blossom Cabaret is Hawaii's Premier Burlesque Revue. Seductive, provocative and at times outlandish, CBC is your ticket to a surreal and exotic adventure that will captivate from beginning to end. The ladies do more than shimmy and shake out of their costumes; they also dance act and sing, while incorporating what they do best: Tease. Those who see CBC perform will be amazed by the group's diverse jaw-dropping repertoire. The Honolulu based cabaret has various influences ranging from vaudeville style theatre, b-grade horror and science fiction, film noir, kitsch, historical and political satire, comedic sketches fused with an eclectic array of music and of course the classy yet sassy art of tease!
About The Academy of Tease: "A HI-er Burlesque Learning Establishment." - Established in August of 2010, CBC's Academy of Tease is a burlesque centered learning establishment open to all ages, gender and abilities (Must be at least 18 years of age to sign-up for Burlesque Classes, no age limit for Dance Classes. Anyone under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). Burlesque is about loving your body, feeling beautiful, having fun and celebrating the glamour and beauty of being you!

About Jou Jou Galore: Burlesque performer from Portland, Oregon recently relocated to Honolulu, Hawaii! A founding member of Portland's The Dolly Pops, she has girls and boys alike blowing their tops! Legs for miles and classically trained, with one glimpse of her swagger your pleasure's sustained. Ballet, vintage, contemporary, and more, there's so much to savor with Joujou Galore!
About Sky Fung: www.DancersUnlimitedHi.com Sky Fung is the Assistant Director of Dancers Unlimited. Dancers Unlimited provides professional dance education and performance opportunities to dancers in Hawaii. We also provide outreach programs to help develop confidence, artistic talent, and academic achievement using dance as a platform. Using DANCE as a vehicle, we collaborate with artists from all paths to make dreams opportunities. Dancers Unlimited is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization.
About The ARTS at Marks Garage: www.artsatmarks.com The ARTS at Marks Garage is a ten-year old community arts center attracting over 30,000 people annually to 12 major exhibits and over 150 performances, lectures, screenings, workshops. It is an incubator for over a dozen performance and visual arts groups, and offers creative classes for neighborhood youth. Marks sponsors the creative revitalization of the downtown-Chinatown area through neighborhood relations, street festivals, the Gallery Walk Map, First Friday Honolulu and other community celebrations.
