Shane Gillis is a hilarious Central Pennsylvania native and stand-up comic who recently moved to Philadelphia and performs all over the Eastern United States. In 2014 Shane was named Baltimore's Comedian of the Year. He performs regularly at some of the country's best comedy clubs including Philly's Helium Comedy Club, Baltimore's Magooby's Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, the Harrisburg Comedy Zone, Lancaster Stitches, and more where he has opened for A-list comedians such as Louie Anderson, Tim Meadows, and Carlos Mencia. Audiences love his no holds barred take marriage, society, education, and plethora of off the wall random everyday life occurrences. Michael was named winner of the 2014 WMGK 102.9 John DeBella Comedy Competition. Michael has opened for the likes of Loni Love, Dena Blizzard, Cocoa Brown, Kyle Grooms and Malik S. Regular on the Comedy Collective in New Jersey, and the Philadelphia comedy circuit.
Host- Missy Grynkiewicz
Missy Grynkiewicz, a comic/actor from Delaware, has been performing in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Baltimore, and DC ... has bags, will travel. Her freshman CD, "Miss Representation", was selected for the first round Grammy nomination list and can be heard on Pandora radio. (This makes her mom very proud and her kids very embarassed.) Her first feature film, "Days of Power" is slated for release this year, and she just recently filmed a pilot for TruTv. Missy's true passion lies in being in a roomful of people sharing the experience of life and laughter. Check out her website at www.missygrynkiewicz.com.
And... Phil Korz
Phil Korz first took the stage as the winner of Salisbury University's funniest person. Within a year Phil was opening for acts like Chad Daniels and Marianne Sierk. Open and honest with a side of self-deprecation, his style of storytelling makes his misadventures relatable and endearing.
The show begins at 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 6:15 pm. Smyrna Opera House is located at 7 W. South Street Smyrna, DE. Content may not be appropriate for children. This is a cooperative presentation of Gable Music Ventures and Smyrna Opera House.
This organization is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com.
