11/20/2011 - Fake Radio Presents: Sing-a-Long Wizard of Oz!
"Slickly professional in every particular..." The LA Times
"A palpable sense of infectious goofiness..." The LA Weekly
For nearly 10 years, "Fake Radio" has been presenting its comedic take on classic radio shows from "The Golden Age" of radio. Our unique blend of original broadcast scripts along with unexpected improvised dialogue has been delighting audiences and critics for years.
We now invite you to join us for the continuation of our 2011 season with one of the most requested shows that we perform: a fun SING-A-LONG version of the Lux Radio Theatre's "Wizard of Oz" from 1950! That's right musical fans: we'll provide each and every one of you with a song sheet so that you can sing right along with the cast!
The Wizard of Oz Originally airing in 1950 after the release of the MGM movie, Judy Garland reprises her role as Dorothy Gale in one of the most popular stories to echo through American culture.
And, for the first time, we have TWO SHOWS that day: a matinee geared for kids and families starting at 3:30pm and our traditional 7:30pm show later that evening. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE TICKETS FOR THE CORRECT SHOW!
