HUMANATURE
HUMANATURE, is an urban dance-drama that takes the audience on a powerful journey through the interconnected struggles of 13 people living in the Emerald City - a Black family moving out of the neighborhood. Two young lovers. A girl dealing on the streets. A single mother. Children playing. An angry father, his wife and her child. A security guard. A politician - All part of the diverse and rich tapestry of our human family and city.
HUMANATURE is inspired by, and a deconstruction of, dances originally choreographed for Diversity Dance Workshop by Artistic Directors Rena Robinson Steiner and Laura Lee. This urban dance-drama features the talents of 13 local Seattle performers, representing a variety of ages, cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
HUMANATURE opens Friday, October 12, and runs through October 20, 2007 at the Rainier Valley Cultural Center.
