Join us for a unique and informative, in-person exploration of a major effort to upgrade an important component of the region's water management system, the 3.5 acre Padre Dam Maintenance and Operations Yard Complex near Santee. We will explore the lifecycle of this project from concept to funding, design and construction and consider some of the challenges encountered along the way.
The tour will include a special focus on construction management services such as: pre-construction design assistance, cost control, value engineering and claims avoidance.
The Advanced Water Purification Demonstration plant was built in the Padre Dam Municipal Water District as a pilot for a full-scale program. The plant takes already-treated water and filters it with an advanced purification process. The result: purer water than what pours now from your tap.
