Marc Black and Jono Manson
Marc is one of the most original singer songwriters to come out of New York's Hudson Valley. He's got a powerful fingerstyle technique on his Guild D40, a voice that's blues tinged and reminiscent of Tim Hardin, and a way of making audiences more than comfortable with a disarming, insightful humor.  Maybe that's why one of his songs (Ooh I Love My Coffee) reached #6 on the DJ Folk Chart a few months ago.  And why other of his recordings are getting airplay as far away as Ireland, Australia and Thailand.

Beginning with a top 40 hit with his high school band, The Blades of Grass, he has recorded more than a dozen CD's.  He's had a 'pick hit' in Billboard Magazine, and another that was recognized as a 'minor masterpiece' by famed music producer, John Hammond Sr.

Marc has recorded with an array of luminaries including Art Garfunkel, Taj Mahal, Rick Danko, John Sebastian and Garth Hudson. He collaborated with Richie Havens on the title cut of the American Children CD, and wrote the theme music for his beloved New York Mets from 1987 til 1990.

A finalist in this year's Kerrville Folk Festival 'New Folk' competition he also recently won 'Artist of the Year' honors from ABC Radios' Fame Games, the New Jersey Folk Festival and the Austin Songwriters' competition.

Marc was a featured performer at the Sundance Film Festival (with Donovan), Levon Helm invited him to perform at one the 'Rambles' in Woodstock; and Marc's song, "Lies in Red, White & Blue" has been as high as #33 on Neil Young's Living with War site.

He has received the Mobius and the London International Advertising Awards for Best Original Music and has also been noted for songwriting, production and performance by Rolling Stone Magazine, the American Library Association, and Billboard Magazine.

Long time Santa Fe resident Jono Manson is a prolific singer/songwriter and seasoned performer, with a track record that includes major-label releases as both recording artist and producer and extensive touring in the USA and Europe. Jono recently completed work (produced/recorded/mixed) on a new project for Blues Traveler front man John Popper. He also co-wrote much of the material for this album and toured extensively with John Popper and the Duskray Troubadours.

Jono comes from a family full of creative people. His mother was a principle member in the Martha Graham dance company, who also worked alongside the likes of Merce Cunningham, John Cage, and Leonard Bernstein, and Jono's cousins are the filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen. So, it's not surprising that he formed his first all-original band in 1968 at the age of seven and, from that moment on, never looked back.  Jono also has a growing number of film and television music credits to his name. Most notably, he wrote and produced music for Kevin Costner's "The Postman, in which he also had an on-screen role, and his recording of "Miss Fabulous" is featured in the Farrelly Brothers' hit movie "Kingpin". Jono Manson has performed and/or worked in the studio with innumerable artists including Blues Traveler, Bo Diddley, Joan Osborne, Dr. John, Taj Mahal, Carol King, Amy Grant, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, Pete Seeger, Steve Earle, Kris Kristofferson, Ani DiFranco, Terry Allen, Emmylou Harris, Arlo Guthrie, and Bruce Springsteen.
