Take a nostalgia trip back to the 1970s as we revisit The Grateful Dead, the iconic rock group from the golden days of San Francisco's hippie era in a new compilation of concert film clips that spans three decades worth of love, peace and cosmic jams. Known for their live shows that could last up to 8 hours in length, The Grateful Dead have proven to be the most successful American band of all time. Learn how the group kept it's loyal following of young and older Dead Heads going after all these years, even after the death of their beloved leader. The music's influences come from a love of early blues, rockabilly, folk music and jazz. Jerry Garcia and company perform songs as Uncle John's Band, Ripple, Franklins Tower, Good Lovin', Mexicali Blues, Samson & Delilah, Fire On The Mountain, The Music Never Stopped, Casey Jones, and many more classics from their live shows. Some of these performances feature "surprise" musical guest stars. These rare performances come from recently restored inch video and 16mm film prints. Approx. 130 min
