October 12th Toronto They're baaaaaack. Lea DeLaria (award winning actress, comedian, Warner Jazz recording artist) and Maggie Cassella (Because I Said So, The Flying Beaver Pubaret), come together once again for their annual holiday variety show.
Maggie and Lea, though mortal enemies, have been working together since they met doing the USO Tour of Mame during the Korean War. Maggie was Auntie Mame and Lea was Patrick. Ah, the golden days.
Fast forward to 2011, and the girls (?) are reuniting to stage the greatest extravaganza since Aida with elephants. Okay so maybe not that big, the house only holds 70, but they promise a brand new show full of music, laughs, their trademark dangerous humour and very special guests.
