Join us for a kids cooking class, gift-making workshop, and reading of the fabulous McSweeney's book by Lemoney Snicket and Lisa Brown: The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming. Leah Rosenberg, artist and pastry chef, will lead everyone through the essentials of making awesome latkes with creme fraiche. Kids will then assemble and decorate "latke kits" that they will go home with to give away as presents. Then, over a latke snack, Lisa Brown will read The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming and offer up some wise holiday wisdom, of the McSweeney's variety.
This ecumenical workshops is good for kids of all religions and ages 4-10 years old. Adults without kids: you are welcome to grab a ticket as well! This will be a hoot.
