Movies on the bus: Network
Our next installment of movies on the bus is the 1976 film Network, which won 4 Academy Awards. This film clearly shows a future of TV that includes reality television and the eventuality of murder for bad ratings.
It's a great film. It's on every top 100 films list. It's funny. Cruel. Hard. Ambitious. It's well acted. And it's brutal.
Join us on the bus! We pile in at 8:00, and watch some shorts and get cozy. We start the film and watch the first half, and around 9:30 we find ourselves in the secret tea garden in Oakland! We have some tea and talk to the crazy guy and the bird, then pile back on the bus to watch the end of the film as we traverse Grizzly Peak and ride the ridgeling of the Oakland Hills. We return by 12-1 AM.
The bus is fun to watch movies on. Take off your shoes, bring a snack and something to drink. Be in a good mood and all that. Girls please pee 57 times before coming on the bus.
Admission is $20
