Scratch My Back
Long-time fabulist and storyteller Bret Fetzer unveils his newest American fairy tales, set in a world that's half Appalachia/half Dust Bowl, where native spirits of North America intertwine with devils and angels to make human lives woefully troublesome. A rabbit is revealed to be a handsome boy when his skin is cut open; a pregnant devil flies up to Heaven in a balloon to confront the father; a girl seeking escape from marriage gets some infernal help; and more. Joining Fetzer are members of the Moonshine Revival Choir, who sing a few period songs to clear the palate between stories.
