An Autobiography About My Brother & 10 minute Plays
An Autobiography About My Brother by Justin Kuritzkes is part of Theatre UNO's New Play Celebration and is the winner of the Tennessee Williams One-Act Play Contest. Los Angeles at the turn of the millennium. Andrew Dupont is writing on his autobiography when he realizes that, in fact, he is working on his brother's autobiography. Brian Dupont, the older of the two brothers, is a serial killer and awaits his execution. Ghosts of Andrew's pasts revisit, among them Maria, unknowing love of Andrew's life and victim number 17, murdered and mutilated by Brian. The fear of the Y2K apocalypse drives Andrew into self-doubt about the choices he has made versus the life his brother has chosen. The production features: Mason Joiner (Andrew Dupont), Robert Facio (Brian Dupont), Shelby Butera (Maria Flanagan), Brian-Eric Lugo (Andrew 19 years old), Emily Guyette (Lizzy), Eric Long (Andrew 14 years old) and Justin Bupp (Larry). This production will also feature Kevin Griffith (Scenic Designer), Chris Hornung (Lighting Designer) and Tony French (Costume Designer).
