Morbid Anatomy and Art in the Age present The Dilettanti Society Happy Hour - Cocktails and Show and Tell in the Morbid Anatomy Library with Tim Mullen on "Victorian Electricity"
Date: Thursday August 13th Time: 6.00 - 8pm Admission: $20 ( $12 for Members ) LIMITED TO 20 PEOPLE
We hope you will join us on June 4th for the first occurrence of a new series of exclusive events taking place in the heart and soul of our institution: The Morbid Anatomy Library. Loosely inspired by the Dilettanti Society, a society of 18th century aristocrats and scholars eager to share their love for art and knowledge around a good drink, The Morbid Anatomy Museum is proud to open the doors of its permanent collection for a few late afternoon libations and the celebration of all things arcane and spectacular.
Meet collectors extraordinaire and their objects of intrigue. Discover the Library collection in a very unique way, a cocktail in your hand while enjoying the Victrola stylings of Arcane Medial Specialist Joel Schlemowitz.
This week, electrical engineer Tim Mullen will share astounding artifacts from his collection relating to Victorian electricity and its march into the twentieth century. "To find out more about Tim and his collection, check out this episode of The Midnight Archive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ou7O4TQLEZI
Free seasonal refreshment will be served by our sponsors Art in the Age.
