2016 Spring - A Play of Unspoken Words
Act I brings that of which we dare not speakreveries, spells, the eternal and its power of healing. Highlighted is the transformative story of resilience told in Abbie Betinis' A Blessing of Cranes, co-commissioned by the Peninsula Women's Chorus.
Act II celebrates the words of William Shakespeare with musical settings of excerpts from A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hector Berlioz's La Mort d' Ophélie, and the swirling, mysterious spells of Macbeth, in Libby Larsen's The Witches' Trio. The concert concludes with the all-encompassing One With the Wind by David O, featured as the keystone piece at The New Music for Treble Voices Festival in March 2015.
