Seattle Folk Festival
Town Hall's second annual Seattle Folk Festival brings yet another dazzling lineup of artists. The first two hours are especially family-friendly: "Sunday Family Jam" features Anna & Elizabeth (Appalachian ballads and handmade crankies from Virginia) and The Canote Brothers (rollicking songs for kids of all ages). After their performance, kids can go upstairs to the lobby to make their own Seattle Crankie. The afternoon continues with performances by Northern Departure (2 pm), Laura Love & Orville Johnson (3 pm), Pharis & Jason Romero (4 pm), Jackstraw (5 pm), and Riley Baugus & Kirk Sutphin (5 pm). Town Hall"s informal Public Room turns into a continuous jam-session headquarters, with performers and audience members taking turns there before or after their Downstairs at Town Hall concertsbring your instruments! Presented by Town Hall and Hearth Music with support from The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
