Grazing in the Grass
You've heard about the dangers of industrially processed food. You've smelled the feedlots of Coalinga on I-5. Maybe you've wondered if there's another way.
Join us for an eaters' event celebrating a better way: pastured livestock and poultry. Learn some simple actions you can take to create a healthy and sustainable food system.
Guest speakers Michael Dimock, president at Roots of Change, and Dan Imhoff, editor of CAFO, the Tragedy of Industrial Animal Factories, will discuss industrial food fallacies, facts about the importance of biodiversity and show you how to vote with your fork for healthy food. After the discussion, you'll have a chance to ask questions of these two experts.
Our sponsor and host, Epicurean Group, a Bay Area sustainable food service company, will make the case for taste. You'll enjoy tasty appetizers prepared by Epicurean chefs, including:
Braised Beef Tagine (Niman Ranch) Traditional Mexican Empanaditas Mole (Mary's Free-range Chicken) Fall Celebration Organic Vegetable Tartlettes (Happy Boy Farms) Risotto Potato Leek Arancini, local Mozzarella Fresca (Paradise Valley Farms)
For an additional fee, we'll pair your food with specially selected organic wines from Sonoma County.
Don't miss this fall celebration of Slow Food here in the Valley of Hearts' Delight. Seating is limited and tickets will go fast. Order yours now!
