Sangs an' Clatter
Sangs an' Clatter is The Village Storytelling Centre's regular storytelling night. Featuring top storytellers and performers from around Scotland and beyond.
Featuring Ruth Kirkpatrick - Ruth likes to tell all kinds of stories, Scottish and international, to all kinds of audiences, young and old. With a passion for tales from the Scottish Traveller tradition which was nurtured by her early mentor, master storyteller Stanley Robertson. Like him she hails from the North East and at times uses her 'mither tongue' Doric. Her love of Scottish ballads and humorous songs also inspired her to work with the great ballad singer Sheila Stewart.
Naomi O Kelly - Naomi's repertoire of cheeky tales are told with wit, energy and enthusiasm. Offering a variety of stories from around the world, she's guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Daniel Serridge - amiable host and storytelling fool Daniel, will keep the evening ticking over with his brand of tomfoolery and word play.
There will also be live music from a variety of acts and some other things thrown in too.
