New Exhibition Room presents: Knit Flix
Roll your self away from the Thanksgiving table and join us in preparation for New Exhibition Room's next project It Happened First Night: a New Year's Eve theatrical scavenger hunt adventure and culmination of our Silent Movie Project developmental workshop.
We will start the evening with a knitting lesson from Nora and then show you some of our favorite silent movies that have inspired us to build our next brand new show. There will also be games and snacks all to get you revved up for braving the New England cold on December 31. Use your brand new knitting skills to make yourself a scarf, or donate it to us to help keep us warm.
Seating for this event extremely limited, so we recommend you purchase in advance. Tickets may be purchased at the door if seating is available for $20, cash only. Your ticket includes a complimentary knitting 101 lesson, a whole evening of silent movies, and festive food and drink. All the proceeds for this event will go to fund our next project It Happened First Night.
Can't make the event but still want to help? Please donate your unused, clean knitted winter wear items such as hats, gloves, and scarves, for us to sell during our New Year's Eve event to Dawn at StageSource (88 Tremont Street, Boston, MA) Monday-Friday 10AM-5PM.
If you are interested in taking part in the knitting lesson, please bring a skein of yarn and appropriately sized knitting needles the thicker the yarn and the bigger the needles, the better (10 or above).
